People tend to think of wheat as a flour, but this classic staple grain is just as delicious as a whole seed. We source our wheat berries from the Canadian prairies where it is organically grown. Sprouting wheat berries helps to decrease cook time and increase its sweet flavour.
As a whole grain, wheat berries have good dietary fibre, contains B1 and B3 vitamins as well as other minerals such as magnesium and phosphorous.
Organic sprouted wheat berries have a soft, chewy texture (similar to barley) and mild nutty flavour that’s perfect in salads, grain bowls, soups and stews. Because of their subtle taste, they can compliment everything from bold salad dressings to a light dusting of cinnamon and dried fruit.

Storage & Shelf Life
After sprouting, we carefully dry the grains back down to their shelf stable moisture levels. This means you can store them as you would store unsprouted whole grains – in a cool, dry place (room temperature).
Once you cook your sprouted grains, they should be stored in an air-tight container in the fridge.
Shelf life: 2 years
