Barley normally grows with an inedible hull, but hulless barley naturally grows without one. This means that it doesn’t require a damaging dehulling process, so we can sprout the whole grain, keeping all the fibre and protein intact. Sprouting hulless barley decreases its cook time, aids in digestibility and enhances its taste and texture. Barley contains gluten.
